We focus our innovation on three therapy areas:
- haemophilia with and without inhibitors. We seek to change the possibilities in haemophilia;
- growth disorders;
- auto-immune and inflammatory conditions.

Our expertise
Novo Nordisk is a protein-based, focused healthcare company. We have refined our protein competencies over the past 80 years, and we have developed world class expertise in driving proteins from molecule to market. Our Novo Nordisk R&D centre in Beijing, China, was the first R&D centre established in China by an international pharmaceutical company. It is evolving into a centre of excellence in molecular biology, protein chemistry and cell biology.

Inflammation
Leveraging our long-standing experience with the immunology of Type 1 diabetes and biopharmaceuticals in general we expand into inflammation, an area with growing scientific opportunities and unmet medical needs.
Our leading technology platform within therapeutic proteins makes us competitive in inflammation. We aim to develop fully human and humanized therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.
Specifically, we have established a portfolio of projects within inflammation with focus on New Biological Entities for treatment of auto-immune and inflammatory disease. Further we are in the process of establishing a site in Seattle, Washington, dedicated to research in inflammatory diseases. Please visit our Job site for vacancies.
