Novo Nordisk joins Nordic Partnership

The Novo Group - Novo Nordisk and Novozymes - has joined the Nordic Partnership, as both a member and a major sponsor.

The aim of the Nordic Partnership is to develop a model for driving sustainability in business. The model - Business Drivers for Sustainability  - will be developed during 2001 and presented to Kofi Annan, UN Secretary-General, at the World Summit for Sustainable Development in South Africa in September 2002.

The model can serve as a tool for assessing ‘sustainability-readiness’ and as a checklist for identifying where to act within a company in order to become more sustainable.

The Nordic Partnership was launched on 26 September at a press conference hosted by the United Nations information office in Copenhagen. The network currently consists of 15 Nordic companies committed to sustainability.
