Novo Nordisk Annual Report wins global reporting award in Berlin

March 2008

On 3 March Novo Nordisk received the Corporate Register Reporting Award 2007 (CRRA07) at a ceremony in Berlin, held in connection with the first Global CR (Corporate Responsibility) Reporting Summit. More than 120 leading corporate responsibility professionals attended the event.

The Novo Nordisk Annual Report 2006 won the prize for Best Integrated Report. The award is given to the report that most successfully integrates financial and non-financial aspects. This voter’s comment captures the essence of readers’ motivation for their choice:
"Novo Nordisk has reported to a very high standard for many years. This report shows companies can move to the next level, by adapting a quality stand-alone report into an integrated annual sustainability report, which must be the way to go".

The Corporate Register Reporting Awards 2007

- We’re particularly proud of receiving the award for integrated reporting, which is still a new and relatively unexplored discipline. By reporting on all three dimensions of our Triple Bottom Line in one inclusive report, we communicate the value of a holistic business approach to our shareholders and financial analysts, says Susanne Stormer, editor-in-chjef of the Novo Nordisk Annual Report.

The Corporate Register Reporting Awards 2007 are the first in an annual programme designed to identify and reward best practice in global corporate responsibility reporting.

The CRRA07 accepted entries from 300 companies and voting was undertaken online by CorporateRegister.com users - collectively the most experienced panel of CR report readers.
